About Carley
Carley Michelle Blanchard studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Blanchard majored in Printmaking and Humanistic Studies with a Book Arts concentration. She has also taken art history and philosophy classes at Pennsylvania State University. Blanchard received her BFA in the spring of 2020.
Blanchard had also been accepted into the Globe Collection & Press Printer’s Camp residency. She had previously interned for Globe, where she worked as a printmaker and collaborated with various artists. It provided her with the opportunity to be on the cover of the December 2019 issue of the Washingtonian magazine as a representative of Globe.
Blanchard’s work has been selected for numerous exhibitions throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Chicago, including her own solo exhibition in 2019. She has received several scholarships and awards as well, such as MICA’s Competitive Scholarship (the Nancy Lee Rhodes and Humanistic Studies department scholarships).

After graduating, Blanchard published her first book, Tales from Mushroom Valley. She is currently pursuing other interests.
